If you really give a damn about this country I think this gentleman deserves 24 minutes out of your life to explain what patriotism is and is not.

Ron Paul in this address to the House of Representatives has managed to vocalize my thoughts perfectly. This politician speaks with the sense and truth that is more rare than flying elephants.

I only wish he had a chance to win

His chances are slim, but the only way to change that is for the people that understand his message to spread it. It's a slow process, but maybe by 2012 or 2016 people will have had enough and demand our government obey the rule of law. I think that with the widespread usage of the internet we as a nation have a better chance to reach more people than any pro-constitution protesters before us. People are much more likely to voice their displeasure with the government by posting on the web than they are to attend protest rallies as was done in the past.

I think the word is spreading. I've been a big fan of Ron Paul for a while. Watching the Republican debate, he seemed to get a good deal of applause from the audience - maybe support is growing. I am unsure the party (& financiers) would get behind a guy that's not a total tool like the rest of the candidates. That, and most of the country would rather watch American Idol than give a $hit about the Constitution.

That is a major problem with the voting public.
