I noticed on the Mad Money Challenge that they didn't buy my stocks using the closing price on the day I bought them (as per the rules) and they are also giving me the wrong dollar amount in my account. This is after refusing to accept any orders *at all* the first time I tried to buy, when the game first started and the stocks were going for even lower. Is anyone else having problems with this? I put in some more orders, today, but not sure I care what happens to them, at this point. Interesting to see what some of the winners bought, though. :o

I predict that I will win the mad money challenge through 100% dumb luck. :P

There are some people there who have already doubled their money. It will be interesting to see them talk to Jim ... since they used none of the tools and strategies that he reccomends.

According to the website, only one person (kasanova0) has doubled their money. After today's close, I should have stumbled into the Top 10 by simply screwing around - with a portfolio valued at nearly $180k.

Good work, Damon!! Be sure to let us know... :D

I did notice that a couple of the top dogs were diversified and following some of Jim's recommendations, but they aren't in the majority. Some of them just picked one hot stock and ran with it. Wish I would have thought of that, I'm too timid, even with fake money. lol!

Never mind. Yesterday, I put in a sell order at 3:57 p.m. (before market close - eastern time) for my 41500 shares of CPST. CPST closed yesterday at $4.29 and I should have made over $70k on that trade.

Before that sale, I had 41500 shares of CPST and $1.00 in cash. According to my calculations, my shares of CPST were sold at approximately $3.10/share. I have no idea where they got that figure.

What a failure that website is; I feel cheated. I'm going to email them to let them know and then I'm done with their frustrating Mad Money Challenge. :(

They messed up my trades, too, Damon. I placed my orders in the middle of the day, not even at the end. Plenty of people have emailed them and since they still don't have it together, they obviously don't care. Oh well, we care more about making money on real stocks than playing games, eh?

And yes, I have been working out regularly since I made that post to you! Really, I think it keeps my head more clear as far as investing goes, too. :D

Considering that the website is associated with Mad Money, CNBC and heavily advertised, it is surprisingly poorly done.

Maybe buying all those little red bulls for Cramer to decapitate has left them with only a small budget to hire a couple of co-op students to build the site.
