7.50 would be a bargain
My prediction for the common folk pricing (which we all are), will probably open at about 11.00/sh. I imagine that the IPO will not be 7.50 as we all would like it to be. It will be on the high end at 9.50. However, that price probably won't be available to us common folk. The special people will have already driven up the price to $11/sh by the time we want to buy in. The common folk using e-brokers (ameritrade/etrade/scott/etc) will probably be looking at an entry price of about 11.00-11.50. Those special people with contacts at Goldman Sachs will be able to get that 9.50 pricing. Consider yourself very special if you got in at $9.50. I think the IPO is Thursday? I need to confirm that with a call to UA...if that is the case, then common folk can buy on friday. If I can rally up some quick cash somewhere, consider me in at $11.00.

Yes the IPO is supposed to be thursday. I'm expecting about $9.50 too.
Call your stockbroker if you want in on thursday. You won't be able to do it online until at least friday.

I suggest for people to read the prospectus on the SEC site to analyze the risks of owning this stock.

Looks good to me. Time to get in on the action.

I am told you can buy this stock prior to release if you have an account with one of the underwriters "GoldmanSachs or CIBC". Is anyone familiar with this? Is this an advantage and worth opening an account?

Under Armour, Inc. (UARM)/
Goldman, Sachs & Co. Apparel & Accessories Retail Week of Nov. 14 12.1/46.4 (26%) $133.4 $10.00 - $12.00 share
Mr W, unless you have a net worth of a couple million with plans to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars with GS, don't even waste your time...you'll be able to get the "common folk" pricing with the rest of us.

Reed - Not sure about Goldman, but I checked with CIBC and you can open an account for only 15k. Not bad when you consider a share value of 10.00 to 12.00 and will probably invest between 10 and 20k anyway. My thought is if I can get it early with the underwriter for 9.
TIA
Mr W-That sounds like a great deal with CIBC. I would go with that. Nice work! :D
