Gettin' Lucky...QCOM Volcano

Some days.....

I'm watching my usual daytrades and actually in a slow trade when QCOM gets massive volume and begins to climb. No news on my radar but the momentum is insane. So, I grab 1000 shares totally blind (don't try this at home) and it hammers a good $ .40 in a minute. I bail because I'm in a trade for no good reason other than a huge momentum gain on insane volume. SO I start to dig for news and I see that QCOM denies an apparent rumor to settle with BRCM???? As I go back to the platform I notice the price is dropping like a rock. Seems the original "rumor" was a settlement and I caught the ride!!

The range was over a buck, but nice to get a taste. If I would have been quick I could have caught the short, but that's gettin' greedy.

Well, some days you get lucky. Glad I had it "live" on my watch.

Had to share, not to gloat. :)

Who would ever "invest" in this is beyond me. You can stroke it for the better part of 90 cents every day...day in-day out. My post is about the rumor spike.

I remember the good old days when you could buy an IPO in the morning and sell it 2 hours later for a double or triple.
