I wish we could elect a president who didn't get his moral compass from a fairy tale...

Thank you, but when I saw this I thought: This is exactly what I am thinking
I remember what Falwell did during the Teri Shavo problem
Last year about this time, I had to remove life support from my Mom, because she did not want to suffer terminal colon-rectal cancer(and neither would I)--This is beyond horrible, trust me
Sean, Falwell, and others hustled the concept let someone suffer
They put Shavo's husband through needless additional pure hell on earth to hustle crap Sean and Jerry F would not have allowed if it was a member of their family
"Pulling the plug" or letting someone suffer cannot be described, and having two rich punks blather about it to make money and politicians buying in, well...
Yea, I have a long memory!

Belated condolences for the loss of your mother.
Yeah the Schiavo thing was a complete clusterf@#k, especially when the place she was kept is not far from me, all over the news constantly, the lawyers made out on that one. I ran into one of the nurses that worked there at the time, she said that woman was comatose and she had never seen any signs otherwise.
I don't blame you for having a long memory of it, I would too under the circumstances.

Thank you
Oh, a month later I watched my former father in law die in the same nursing home from cancer--I was with him also in his final hours
It is easy to be pro or con "remove life support" or abortion or stem cell research when you want to score quicky points in hustling something, but rest assured when this hits home you sure don't appreciate damn hustlers and snake oil salesman
What got me through this ordeal was empathy based on logic
Falwell was very, very fortunate to die as most of us would prefer in lieu of dying in our sleep and not know he was about to die slowly and painfully
My mother and former father in law were in a nursing home for their final month, so I got to see mostly women with Alzheimer's disease--I wanted to scream knowing the hustlers and snake oil salesmen own the politicians so we cannot fully utilize stem cell research--Alzheimer's disease by the way is worse than cancer in that your body can remain healthy and your brain is gone, so you and your family can suffer ten or twenty years--case in point, President Raegan who unfortunately in this case got the full wammy medical care
Yea, I have a real personal ax to grind with the Seans and Falwells
